Reviews

I have owned Robin's book for a year now, and find myself looking at it every month, sometimes even weekly. It's a pool of inspiration and guidance. When I feel like I am in a posing rut, or need a fresh photo idea that is where I turn. The book is very well explained, she even describes where the lighting was in pictures, which helped me out getting the shadows of my newborns faces when they are posed. I love how it tells you where to find certain blankets or buckets, and when I read that I ran right out to those specific stores. This book is definitely worth the purchase. It's not something you are going to look thru and then add to the read stack. It's a book that you will leave out and definitely pick up over and over. Mary C Macomber
In today's photography world there are many opportunities to spend your hard earned money, some of which are worthwhile and some of which are a complete waste. Robin Long's Purebaby Book was one of the best investments that I have made. As a newborn photographer, I have taken workshops and walked away with nothing to help me remember what we covered (that is not true of Robin's workshop, which had fabulous teaching materials). After taking a few workshops and working with several newborns, I knew that I needed visual references to better achieve the looks I was going for, so I bought Robin's book. Robin's book clearly illustrates many poses, and aids with lighting, wrapping, and general newborn preparation. I highly recommend the book, and keep it in my camera bag for constant reference. Truly it is money well spent. Laurie Levitt - Soben Studios
I have had the immense pleasure of meeting Robin Long, Newborn Photographer extraordinaire, and attended her workshop in September 2011. Robin has produced a much loved and inspiring newborn posing and tips book full of adorable newborn portraits on each page with detailed information on how to achieve the styles and poses...This of course includes safety which is #1 for every newborn photographer out there and I found this book to be very well organized with lots of goodies inside about prop vendor links and great tips and photos. This is a MUST buy and read for the newborn photographer in you! I have a look at it before every session to inspire me and I know it will for you as well! Bianca Morello
I would highly recommend Robin's posing guide for any newborn photographer, either veteran or just starting off. The flow of the book is awesome! I love that it works perfectly from start to finish, beginning with the best pose to start with. I sometimes forget to do a certain pose that I wanted to try with each baby and this book doesn't let me forget those poses. This book has been extremely helpful to me; so easy to take with to shoots and keep on the side of the beanbag, out of site for me to reference if needed. Thanks Robin! Jenny Lisner
